Connect third-party apps to Canva AI

Connect apps like Slack, Gmail, Zoom, or Notion to Canva AI. This gives Canva AI more context to create designs, content, and insights that fit what you need. Once connected, you can use information from your apps in your prompts without leaving Canva. You can connect apps from your homepage or while editing a design.

Tip: Toggling off an app doesn’t disconnect it. It just stops Canva AI from using it as context.

You can connect the following apps to Canva AI. All app connections currently support read-only access. This means Canva AI can read information from these apps but can't make changes to them.

To see the latest apps you can use with Canva AI, check the full list in the Apps Marketplace.

1. Select the
   plus icon, then choose Connect apps.
2. Select Manage apps.
3. Choose the app you want to disconnect, then select Disconnect.

Canva disconnects the app everywhere in your account.

You may be signed into the wrong account. The sign-in steps may not have completed.

1. Disconnect the app.
2. Refresh the page.
3. Reconnect the app.

The app may not be turned on. Your prompt may not reference the app.

1. Go to Connect apps and make sure the app is turned on.
2. Enter a prompt that clearly references the app or the information you want from it.

Canva AI may not always automatically detect which connected apps are relevant to your prompt. This can happen if your prompt doesn't clearly reference the app or the type of information you need.

• Be specific in your prompt about which app you want Canva AI to use. For example, instead of "Create a presentation about my meetings," try "Create a presentation using my Google Calendar events from this week."
• Check that the app is turned on in Connect apps and that any required organization or administrator approval is complete. 
• If you recently connected the app, refresh the page.
• Disconnect and reconnect the app if the issue persists.

• Read-only access: All app connections currently support read-only access. Canva AI can read information from connected apps but can't make changes to them.
• Active app limit: You may be limited to five active apps at a time.
• Availability: Some apps may not be available to you yet as Canva is rolling them out over time. If you don't see an app, check back later.
• Data access: Canva AI can only access data that your connected account has permission to view.

No. Turning off an app only stops Canva AI from using it as context. The app stays connected to your Canva account. You can turn it back on anytime.
